Churcher’s College Open Afternoon

Open Days and Open Weeks

We warmly welcome you to come and see our school in action at one of our open events held at either the Junior School in Liphook or the Senior School in Petersfield. You will have the opportunity to listen to a welcome speech by the Headmaster (Senior School) and Headteacher (Junior School) and see our outstanding facilities as you are taken on your tour by one of our upper school pupils.

We look forward to meeting you very soon as we support you with this important next step in your child’s education.

Other Amenities

Churcher’s College provides a highly professional and integrated Learning Enrichment (SEND) department designed to support students with mild-to-moderate learning differences, such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, and ADHD, within its academically selective environment.

The school employs a “graduated response” model where support is seamlessly woven into the student’s academic life, primarily through high-quality differentiated teaching in the classroom. When additional intervention is required, the Learning Enrichment team provides bespoke support including short-term boosters, fine motor skill development, and specialized literacy or numeracy assistance. To maintain the integrity of the academic timetable, individual specialist sessions are typically scheduled during non-contact periods or “drop-in” times.

Results

It is a challenge to know which of Churcher’s College successes over the summer deserves most applause: the two Churcher’s swim-teams that successfully conquered the English Channel crossing; the orchestra and jazz band who enjoyed standing ovations on their tour to Barcelona; our rugby and netball successes in South Africa, a second year running when one of our A Level artists is recognised as being one of the very best in the country; or a set of A Level exam results that, yet again, break records. Laying aside the three years of COVID adjustments, we have reached new heights with 90% of all the exams being graded at A* to B grade and also being almost at the top with our A* and A Grades.

Nearly all students attend first-choice universities. Top destinations include Oxford, Cambridge, Exeter, Bristol, and Bath, with a focus on Russell Group institutions.
