Other Amenities

Marlborough College provides a sophisticated and highly integrated Academic Support department designed to assist students with mild-to-moderate learning needs, such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, and ADHD. The department is led by a qualified SENDCO and focuses on developing executive functioning and specialist study skills to ensure pupils can meet the demands of a high-attaining, fast-paced academic environment. Support is delivered through a tiered approach, ranging from differentiated classroom instruction to targeted small-group workshops and intensive one-to-one specialist tuition tailored to individual requirements.

Beyond purely academic intervention, the school emphasizes a holistic approach to neurodiversity, offering emotional literacy support and comprehensive coordination of exam access arrangements for GCSE and A-Level candidates. While the school is academically selective, it is committed to making reasonable adjustments during the admissions process, provided that specialist reports are shared early. This ensures that students with additional needs are fully supported in achieving their potential within the college’s diverse curriculum and full-boarding community.

Results

Marlborough College maintains a distinguished reputation for academic excellence and holistic development, consistently delivering sector-leading “value-added” scores that reflect the significant progress students make during their tenure. In the 2025 examination cycle, approximately 51% of A-level entries achieved A–A grades*, with nearly half of the cohort securing at least one A*. This academic rigor is complemented by international recognition, including the college’s recent designation as a Microsoft Showcase School for 2025–26, acknowledging its innovative integration of digital technology in teaching. Furthermore, a November 2025 Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) report confirmed that the College meets all statutory standards, specifically commending the robust safeguarding protocols and the highly effective coordination between academic and pastoral leadership.

The College is globally recognized for its university placement success, with approximately 90% of leavers securing their first-choice destinations. While the majority matriculate to elite Russell Group institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, and Imperial College London, there is a notable upward trend in admissions to premier US Ivy League and global universities, including Harvard, Columbia, and Georgetown. This consistent track record of high-level performance across academic, musical, and sporting disciplines solidifies Marlborough’s status as a leading institution within the global independent education sector.
