King's Worcester, 5 College Grn, Worcester WR1 2LL, United Kingdom
At an open morning or private tour, you will have the chance to have a full tour of our fantastic facilities and classrooms, an introduction from our Head, and the opportunity to talk to staff and pupils about life here at King’s Worcester.
Our next Senior and Sixth Form Open Morning is on Saturday 6th June 2026. If you are looking for a place within the 25/26 academic year, please do book a private tour below or email registrar@ksw.org.uk.
During a Private Tour, you will be welcomed by Mr Ben Charles, our Head, taken on a tour of our fantastic facilities by a member of staff and will be able to see everything that an education at King’s can offer your child with the added bonus of your Private Tour being tailored towards your child’s individual academic and co-curricular interests.
At King’s Worcester, the Learning Development Department operates with an inclusive ethos, ensuring that students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)—such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, and mild autism—have full access to the mainstream curriculum and co-curricular life. The school focuses on “High-Quality Teaching” and reasonable adjustments, providing specialist-led support that includes individual or small-group sessions, screening for learning gaps, and the coordination of formal exam access arrangements. While the school welcomes pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) if they can thrive in a mainstream academic environment, they emphasize a partnership between qualified specialist staff, parents, and teachers to monitor progress and foster the independent learning skills necessary for students to reach their full potential.
This year, almost half of our GCSE pupils achieved grades 9-8, our strongest ever performance. Over one third of this year’s cohort received 10 or more top grades of 9-7 and two thirds of grades were 9-7. Our largest number of any grade achieved was a grade 9.
As ever, behind these statistics were a series of remarkable individual stories. Three pupils have achieved all 11 GCSEs at Grade 9; 13 pupils achieved 11 GCSEs at Grades 9-7 – all fantastic achievements by any standards.
We’re delighted that most of the pupils will continue their King’s Worcester journey in our Sixth Form, where they will continue to flourish and gain the confidence to embrace what comes next.
A level Students Obtain Leading University Places
Our Sixth Form students also achieved a fantastic set of A level results, with strong performances across the board. Almost all students (98.4%) secured their first-choice university place, with over three quarters going to leading Russell Group universities including Durham University, the University of Exeter, the University of Birmingham and the University of Bristol.
Between them they will be studying over a 100 different courses ranging from Engineering to English, Medicine to Maths.
In contrast to other schools and colleges, all King’s Worcester students take three A levels, with some completing four. This often provides a greater chance of being accepted into certain degree courses, which may not accept alternative post-16 qualifications.
Our latest incredible results follows on from us achieving a much sought-after ranking in The Sunday Times’ Top 10 Schools in the West Midlands for Academic Results earlier this year, for the fourth consecutive year.
The vast majority of leavers progress to Russell Group universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Exeter, and UCL. Popular subjects include Business, Medicine, Engineering, and Law.
