Entry Requirements

Moderately selective. Early years involves informal classroom taster observations. Entry into the Prep School proper (Years 3–7) requires an on-site taster day involving digital cognitive ability/baseline tracking screenings (English and Maths), a personal chat with the Headmaster, and a supportive reference/report from the candidate’s current school.

Key Dates for Admissions

Operates a rolling admissions strategy throughout the school year, dependent on physical seat availability. Major open events are typically hosted in May and October. Early registration is strongly advised—especially for families pursuing boarding house allocations or internal scholarship consideration pathways.

Results

Ranked highly by The Good Schools Guide and rated ‘Excellent’ in all fields by the ISI. Widely celebrated for its vibrant, inclusive international community and its elite balance of academic ambition with creative/sporting excellence.

The vast majority of leavers (~85%) make the natural internal progression to Clifton College Upper School at 13+ (Year 8). Top pupils routinely capture highly competitive academic, sports, music, and art scholarships. Alternative leavers secure places at other elite national boarding institutions.
