We want every Cranleighan to reach their full potential. Our Learning Support team helps to make this a reality by providing targeted and tailored interventions to those who need a helping hand.
Our main focus is supporting those with identified specific learning difficulties. Our team specialises in these areas, and we offer one-to-one and group support that equips pupils with strategies for success. However, we also offer regular sessions to those in examination years; mostly to help with revision and examination technique.
We understand that everyone has a unique set of needs, so we develop our support in partnerships with teachers, parents and the pupils themselves. This ensures that everyone knows we are working towards a bespoke set of objectives and that we are with them every step of the way.
Our door is always open and we are flexible to pupils’ needs, so whilst there is a structure to our work, we can respond to challenges as and when they arise.
Requires the ISEB Common Pre-Test, an informal interview, a school reference, and a Holistic Assessment Day (group activities).
Key Dates (2027 Entry): Scholarship assessments for Art, Music, and Sport typically take place in January/February 2027.
We have had a very successful summer of exam results this year. Cranleigh’s Upper Sixth Formers have delivered the school’s strongest post-pandemic A Level performance, with 83% of grades at A*– B, an increase from 78% in 2024. 43% of students achieved two or more A* or A grades – up from 38% last year.
STEM subjects were a particular strength, with 63% of Mathematics students gaining A* or A and a combined A*/A rate of 60% across all maths and science courses. Economics also impressed with 70% at A*/A, while the Arts excelled with 86% in Art and 78% in Drama. Notably, 96 of the 146 students in the cohort achieved A*– B across all their subjects.
Cranleigh’s Year 11 students have delivered an outstanding set of academic results, too, with year-on-year improvements across the board. 76% of all grades in English, mathematics and science were graded 9-7. Grade 8 was the most common grade achieved, closely followed by grade 9, with over half of all grades being one of the top two grades.
78% of all pupils achieved a 9-7 grade in the core subjects of English and mathematics – an 8% increase on 2024. 25% of all grades were 9’s – the highest grade possible – a 5% increase on last year. 72% of all grades were in the 9-7 range – up 4%. 59% of students achieved seven or more grades 9-7, up 4% from 2024.
High success rate for Russell Group universities. Recent 2025 leavers secured places for English at Cambridge and Physics/English at Oxford, alongside global destinations like NYU.
