We are a small specialist school with a strong focus on providing integrated therapy. We welcome children aged 4-11 years old who may have mild to moderate, and sometimes multiple, learning needs.
Our strong focus on integrated and intensive therapeutic intervention – including occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and play therapy – aims to address any underlying barriers to learning which may include:
- Social communication
- Emotional regulation
- Sensory integration.
We are justifiably proud of everything that our pupils, staff and whole community achieves together. We are a highly structured environment, which helps to prepare children for a more regimented provision as they get older.

Comprehensive and immersive. The entire school is a dedicated environment for children with mild-to-moderate, and sometimes complex/multiple learning needs. This includes specific diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental delays, dyspraxia, and ADHD. It operates with an expansive on-site clinical team consisting of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Play/Counselling Therapists. Most pupils attend with an active Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Candidates must have mild-to-moderate learning differences or communication profiles that match the school’s therapy infrastructure. Admissions require recent Educational Psychologist documentation, speech/language files, and an active or draft EHCP. Eligible prospective students attend an on-site evaluation to ensure peer-group compatibility.

Upon concluding Year 6, leavers successfully transition into specialized secondary provisions (often internally within the Cavendish Education ecosystem), local authority special schools, or mainstream secondary academies equipped with dedicated SEN units.
