What to expect
At our upcoming open morning you will discover what life at Kew College Prep is really like. You’ll have the opportunity to tour our facilities, see lessons in progress, and speak with our Head, teachers, and current parents, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Here’s what you can look forward to:
- A warm welcome from our Head and staff
- A guided tour of our classrooms, facilities, and outdoor space, led by our Year 6 pupils
- Dedicated time to speak with staff and ask questions
- The opportunity to meet current parents and hear about their experiences
- An opportunity to see our brand new kitchen and dining room and taste the delicious food that our children enjoy every day
- The morning typically lasts around two hours, giving you plenty of time to explore with one of our Year 6 tour guides

Kew College Prep operates an inclusive and proactive Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) framework managed by a dedicated Learning Support department. Operating under a graduated response model aligned with the 2015 SEND Code of Practice, the school prioritizes early identification and targets four primary areas of need: Cognition & Learning, Communication & Interaction, Physical/Sensory, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health. Mild-to-moderate learning differences (such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, and focus-tracking difficulties) are predominantly managed through high-quality, differentiated classroom teaching and small-group interventions, alongside Individual Education Plans (IEPs) designed to ensure all pupils can fully access the core curriculum and thrive ahead of their 11+ transitions.

Entry Requirements
- Nursery (3+): Main entry point. Completely non-selective. Openings are granted strictly in chronological order of original registration date. Early birth-registration is highly recommended.
- Reception (4+): Children applying directly are invited for a brief, friendly, informal readiness alignment session with the Head of Early Years.
- Occasional Places (Years 1 to 6): Based on shifting mid-term availability. Requires an invitation to a full structural classroom taster morning alongside standard age-appropriate tests in reading, mathematics, and writing.
Key Dates for Admissions
Admissions work on a rolling framework. Core allocations for the 3+ Nursery program are dispatched and finalised in the Spring term, 18 months prior to the target September intake.
