Thank you for showing an interest in an Open Morning at Farleigh School.
Every day is an open day at Farleigh and we are delighted to welcome visitors at any time.
Our next Open Morning will be on Saturday 26th September 2026, 9.45am-11.30am. You will have the opportunity to meet with the Headmaster, Fr Simon Everson, staff, governors & current parents as well as having an individual tour of the school with our senior pupils.
Please note that children can join Farleigh School at any time during the academic year. Through a number of initiatives, we ensure that all new pupils – and their families – feel welcomed at whatever point they start here. If you would like to organise a time to talk to Fr Simon or if you have any questions about the current admissions process, please do not hesitate to contact Sarah, above.
At Farleigh School in Hampshire, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) support is managed by a dedicated Learning Support Department within a welcoming, mainstream, and broadly non-selective day and boarding environment. Led by the Head of Learning Support (SENCo) alongside a team of specialist tutors and 1:1 support assistants, the department implements bespoke learning programmes to help pupils overcome mild-to-moderate learning differences, such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, and focus or processing difficulties. The school’s framework relies on a collaborative approach where internal screening and external professional assessments inform tailored academic pathways, combining high-quality classroom differentiation with targeted individual or small-group interventions.
Non-selective at entry, looking for holistic fit. Early years entry is based on gentle, informal play assessments. Prep entry requires a formal registration (£120 non-refundable fee), an on-site Taster/Assessment Day to review baseline capabilities, and a formal progress reference from the child’s current headteacher.
Operates rolling admissions subject to space. Key open days are scheduled during the year (such as the Boarding Open Morning in May and Main Open Morning in late September). Registration is strongly advised 12 months in advance for peak entry points (Reception, Year 3, and Year 7).
Highly regarded as one of the leading Catholic co-educational prep schools in the UK. Routinely praised by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) for exceptional pastoral care and strong academic value-add.
Major UK independent senior schools. Top leaver destinations at 13+ include Marlborough College, Sherborne Girls, Canford, Dauntsey’s, Radley College, St Mary’s Ascot, St Mary’s Calne, Winchester College, Eton College, Downside, and Godolphin, with a high proportion of pupils securing annual academic and co-curricular scholarships.
