Entry Requirements

The school admits pupils at all stages, though the primary entry points are 11+, 13+, and 16+.

  • 11+ (Year 7) & 13+ (Year 9):
    • Assessments: Candidates sit entrance examinations in English, Mathematics, and Reasoning (Verbal and Non-Verbal).
    • Interview: All candidates are interviewed by the Principal or a senior member of staff to assess their interests and suitability for the school community.
    • Reference: A confidential report from the current Headteacher is mandatory.
  • Sixth Form (16+):
    • GCSE Criteria: A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above.
    • Subject Specifics: A Grade 6 is generally required in subjects chosen for A Level study (with a Grade 7 or 8 preferred for Mathematics, Sciences, and Modern Foreign Languages).

While the school offers occasional vacancies throughout the year, the primary cycle for September 2027 follows this timeline:

    • Preparatory School: Rolling admissions, but early registration by October 2026 is advised.
  • Scholarship Application Deadline: Early November 2026 (applies to Academic, Music, Art, Sport, and Drama).
